S'Archittu

S'Archittu is a seaside village belonging to the municipality of Cuglieri, in the province of Oristano in Sardinia.

The town takes its name from the natural rock (In Sardinian precisely S'archittu) overlooking the cove, placed immediately next to the town, within walking distance thanks to a dirt path.

In the summer months, after sunset the sun lights the arc, with a spectacular effect. From this arc many people, young and less young, dive; in 2001 the back of the arch of rock has been the scene of the World Championship of High Diving. The Arch, about 15 meters high, is the result of sea erosion of an ancient cave formed by limestone, marl and fossil deposits. S'Archittu is located near the archaeological site of Cornus and throughout the surrounding area the final events of the rebellion of Ampsicora have taken place during the second Punic war. Some studies speculate that in the area near the Arc there was the port of the city.

West Sardina Immobiliare operates on the west coast of Sardinia.
